Exciting News! Please share this post onto your page to let everyone know.As we have been waiting for the all clear from Rotherham Council I am happy to announce we have an official re-opening date of Saturday 25th July.
We have now finally been given the go ahead to re-open. Upon reading the most current and up-to-date guidelines we are very confident in the restrictions we have put in place to comply with social distancing regulations. A constant supply of hand sanitizer is available for use upon entry and throughout the premises’ entirety.
All entrances to the shooting bay’s will be staggered to ensure there is no close contact made, as a result of this we have had to reduce the number of lanes occupied at any given time. This also ensures we can keep on top of sanitizing the surfaces and bays to the highest standard between customers’.Due to the reduction in lanes we are temporarily postponing all permanent bookings until further notice, for any bookings please call the office on 01709837906, giving plenty of notice to prevent any disappointment.
Taster sessions and gun hire will NOT be available under any circumstances, and for a limited time we will not be accepting any non-members. We understand this is disappointing to many, however, we must all get used to the new procedures put in place to ensure everyone’s safety. Following this, we will not be accepting any walk-in lane hires – anybody who wishes to shoot MUST pre-book prior to arrival.
The Café will be open, however, all drinks must be consumed during your booking on your designated bay and there will be no cakes and sandwiches available within. Please do not arrive a considerable amount of time before your booking as we will not be able to accommodate.
Most importantly, we are looking forward to seeing everyone back in the range in a safe and enjoyable manner!
WE ARE NOW CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE!
Good evening all, it is with great upset that I am writing this, however, as per government instructions, Idleback SHOOTING RANGE is now closed until further notice!
Please do not come to the range as there will be no staff present.
Please do allow me to explain the full situation below.
Idleback Shooting Range and Shop are now closed as per government instruction and there is no further information to give at this moment in time.
Idleback Chairs is still “business as usual”. All orders will require additional patience as we are currently a little delayed with suppliers, but please, do not think you will not receive your chair or accessories as you most definitely will in due course! The delays in chairs only applies to “The Ultimate Combo, The Premier Combo, and The Standard Combo”, of which we cannot advise on delivery times at this point.
“The Shotgun Chair” however, is fully in stock and available for delivery.
Idleback Shop is still PARTIALLY functioning. We are NOT shut! All Idleback shop items are available via the website (once again, please be patient with delivery).
Customer guns who are currently in our possession for a service will be completed as a matter of priority. All owners will be contacted.
Trev, our in house air-gun repairer, will still be working as usual, delivering the exceptional service our customers have grown to know.
Please contact 07984076321 for enquiries on any gun services.
All customers guns which are kept in our possession will remain securely locked away, unless requested otherwise. Again on the number of 07894076321. Anybody who wishes for their gun/guns to be returned to them must contact Dan on the above number to arrange.
Airgun necessities will still be available.
We will be offering a local delivery service (15 miles radius) for, pellets, air cylinders (including cylinder refills), targets, and most other accessories. Delivery charge will be incurred based on the order size and distance travelled.
For everyone else of further afield. We will be delivering nationwide, as usual, using our current supplier DPD, so please do not hesitate to order off the website (delays in delivery may occur), or contact Dan on the above mobile number for any questions or enquiries.
Once again, I thank you all for your patience and support through this difficult situation and hope you all stay well throughout our time of no contact.
We look forward to seeing you all as soon as possible with the hosting out our members competition final!

Good evening all, this is just a quick update following today’s press conference by our PM. We will be continuing as stated yesterday until further notice. Once again we urge people to stay at home if they feel it is right to do so following guidelines set out. Keep others in mind, and keep checking back for further updates before coming to the range, I will try and provide a daily update to keep you all aware of our current position. In the meantime please familiarise yourselves with the current advise laid out by UK government which can be found on the BBC news‘ website.
In the meantime we will be revoking the 12 hour cancellation fee as this is a matter of public safety within the range, and so please do not worry about being charged if cancellation is made on the day of your booking, just try and give us as much notice as possible. Leaving a voicemail if we do not answer the phone would be a great and sufficient way to cancel. They are all checked first thing in the morning so will not be missed.
As it currently stands Idleback LTD is open business as usual.
Throughout this time, we will be offering an extension of membership to anybody who cannot come in due to poor health as we do not want our valued members losing out and we would rather you all be safe.
We advise everybody to follow the procedures laid out by Boris Johnson last night, and for all customers’ to be respectful of others around them and heed the warnings put in place (especially for the over 70’s) to ensure the safety of everybody.
Idleback chairs will be manufactured and produced as usual, however, a delay in shipping times may occur so please be patient and get in touch with us through the contact section of the website for more information on your shipment.
